These terms apply to your use of ButlerCRM ("Butler") at butlercrm.com, run by Ingenious Digital LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Butler you agree to them. If you use Butler for an organisation, you agree on its behalf and confirm you may do so. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.
Accounts
- New accounts are reviewed before they are activated, and we may decline a request.
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us straight away at mati@ingeniousdigital.com if you think someone else is using your account.
Workspaces
A workspace belongs to the organisation that owns it. Its owner and admins decide who joins, what roles people have, which modules and connections are on and what its agents may do, and they are responsible for the people they invite.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you and your workspace put into Butler or connect to it. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run Butler for you, including sending it to the providers named in the privacy policy. You are responsible for having the right to put that content into Butler, including information about other people.
AI features and agents
- AI output, including drafts, summaries, scores and agents' work, can be incomplete or wrong. Review it before you rely on it.
- Agents act only within the tools and permissions a workspace gives them. Sending email, publishing content and changing connected accounts wait for a person's approval, and whoever approves an action is responsible for it.
- Workspaces set budgets for AI use, and agents stop when a budget runs out.
Connected services
When you connect Google, Zoom, GitHub, Slack, Shopify, Stripe, Klaviyo, n8n or another service, your use of that service stays subject to its own terms. You can disconnect at any time. We are not responsible for those services or for changes they make that affect Butler.
Acceptable use
Do not use Butler to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- send spam or messages people did not agree to receive;
- upload malware, or try to reach data, workspaces or systems you are not allowed to;
- test, probe or overload Butler without our written permission;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer Butler, or scrape it with automated tools.
Fees
Any fees for Butler are agreed separately in writing with your organisation. We will not charge you for anything you have not agreed to.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Butler running and show its health at butlercrm.com/status, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We improve Butler often and may change or remove features; when a change takes away something your workspace relies on, we will tell you in advance where we can.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using Butler at any time and ask us to delete your account or workspace. We may suspend or close an account or workspace that breaks these terms or puts Butler or other users at risk; where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it or to get a copy of your content.
Disclaimers
Butler is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated in these terms, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim about Butler is limited to the amount your organisation paid us for Butler in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes about Butler or these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms when Butler or the law changes, and the date at the top changes with them. For significant changes we will tell you in Butler or by email before they take effect. Using Butler after that means you accept the new terms.
